AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s 15th Brigade of the 5th Armored Division – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) – launched a surprise attack on Tuesday afternoon in order to retake the farms under Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) control near Kafr Shams.
According to a military source at the 5th Armored Division base in Izra’a, the Syrian Armed Forces liberated most of the farms at the northeastern perimeter of Kafr Shams after a violent battle that lasted for over 4 hours on Tuesday.
The source added that clashes have restarted this morning, as Jabhat Al-Nusra attempts to retake the territory they conceded to the Syrian Armed Forces yesterday.
